Post sRGB versus Adobe RGB tip
As we all know, sRGB, aka stupid RGB is the color space for the web but, there always a “but”.
What do we need when we put our images into the web?
Color consistency, right?
We want our images to be as similar as possible with what we saw on our monitors.
Even if you do, as I do, monitor calibration with hardware, forget the monitor calibration for a moment and, please, do the following exercise.
Save an image, any image, with a sRGB color profile.
Open, IE, Firebox and Safari and drag your photo into all the three browsers and tell me what you see.
You’ll see three photos, each one with his own color tones, depending on the browser, right?
Now, do exactly the same but with an Adobe RGB color profile and tell me what you see.
You’ll see three photos, almost equal to each other.
Try for yourselves ;)

Have you tried this with Chrome? Just cusious. I may have to do this when I get the time. That is, put the image into chrome, safari, firefoc and IE.

I haven't tried this with Google Chrome but probably the result will be identical.

sRGB is the default color space, which is way that RGB values translate to actual colors.
